- Teeworlds, anciennement Teewars, est un jeu de tir TPS (Third Person Shooter) multijoueur en 2D. Le joueur y incarne une petite créature ronde, le Tee. A l'aide de plusieurs armes différentes le joueur doit parcourir les différentes cartes à la recherche de ses adversaires. C'est un jeu Open Source toujours en développement, mais tout à fait jouable.

Teeworlds.com now served via HTTPS
As of today we serve over HTTPS only.The certificate is from StartSSL and should work in all modern browsers.HTTP is not available anymore because PunBB (the forum software we use) requires an absolute base URL which will be used to create all the forum-internal links. New server is up!
We proudly present you the new server that's been generously sponsored by Kottizen.This now fixed the issue with old software due to the use of Debian Etch. We are now rolling with FreeBSD 9, a fresh PHP 5.3.9 and nginx.Should you experience any problems please report here.On a side note: We didn't lose any data, the harddisks are intact but the RAID controller was dead.The Teeworlds Team

About the server failure
Yesterday at around 9 PM (UTC), our server decided to die after years of loyal service.The next step is getting the server to matricks, who will then check what's wrong. From what we know so far it probably was the RAID controller that died and that the harddrives are still working.Meanwhile we have transferred the page to another server which runs a backup from December 28. Until we recover the posts that were made after that date we will keep the forum in read-only mode and registrations disabled to avoid conflicts in the database.For the most recent information check out matricks' twitter feed.The Teeworlds Team

0.6.1 released!
In contrast to the old teeworlds tradition 0.6.0 was very stable and we did not have to fix any critical issues. So today's 0.6.1 release is more than a maintenance release. If you have not checked the differences, yet, you should have a look at the full changelog. To put it in a nutshell:+ The menu music was readded again+ The editor got lots of love (automapping, layer naming)+ Envelopes will be synchronized between clients+ Improved friends feature+ Moderator support for the remote control+ External console added+ New country flags addedDownload Teeworlds 0.6.1!

Language pack updates for 0.6.1
As described here we are planning to release 0.6.1 soon. Thus we need your help at updating the language files. We are not going to add any further strings, so you may update the language packs. Please make sure to post the updated language files here until 15th July.

Spring-cleaning
We would like to do some spring cleaning before the summer begins. Aproximately 50% of all registered users have not written one single post. Thus we suppose they are either spam bots who did not pass the spam test or inactive accounts which do not have an appropriate purpose. But if you are one of those guys who registered and only follows passively the discussions please answer this thread to increase your post count to 1. We have not decided yet when we want to delete these zombie accounts exactly. (A certain date will be announced soon) Please tell all your friends who might have such an inactive account and who might want to keep it.

0.6.0 released!
Good things come to those who wait! After one and a half years of development with over 2000 changes it finally is here: Teeworlds 0.6.0! It features a reworked ninja powerup, a friend list, an upgraded spectator mode, IPv6, translations into other languages, UTF-8 support and lots of other changes. The graphics have been revised and polished, several maps have been reworked and some new ones have found their way into the release.Go download Teeworlds 0.6.0!

Did Teeworlds development get stuck?
The last official Teeworlds release was released in November 2009. Indeed it seems justifiable to say that development stopped or slowed down. But just because you cannot see development does not mean there is none. Actually there is more activity than ever before. We recently actually reached a peak in activity since the project moved to github. After matricks' decision to hand off the development responsability to a new team. Some people held their breath but (!) as we can see they do a really great job. Oy is pushing one fix after the other. m!nus is caring about the forum very well and Landil is recruiting and training a new graphics team to give Teeworlds a nicer look. In addition there are plenty of other people participating in development who are doing a great job too. The only problem is the normal player does not see these efforts because they are not part of the development community. Just to give you an idea about what happened: the whole code was refactored to provide a better readability, the engine was in big parts ported from C to C++. Douzens of new features were added, for example the dm score HUD, colored and resizable nameplates, a new font system, an auto-save screenshot function that saves the scoretable at the end of a match and many other things where improved and fixed.* This summary of the current situation of the Teeworlds' development is part of my and Sushi's* personal point of view, which we stated in this very active forum topic. Teeworlds Elders
As Teeworlds has outgrown the "hobby project" phase, so has the responsibilities of those involved. We now find ourselves in a situation where it's more of a chore than a leisure, which is never a fun place to be.Recently, we also suffered a greater influx of DDoS attacks, IRC zombie raids and general griefing which we, at this point, don't feel like having to deal with.For this reason, we're now officially handing over the reins of most aspects of the Teeworlds day-to-day work, taking more of a backseat in developing and maintaining the game and its infrastructure. We've chosen people that we know and can trust. Teeworlds 0.5.2 released!
Purely a maintenance release, Teeworlds 0.5.2 addresses a server crash bug, clears up some GUI issues and many small improvements. The main Teeworlds branch is still being refactored by matricks, which is an ongoing process. Tom Adams contributed to this release.Go download Teeworlds 0.5.2!

0.5.1 released!
As is our established tradition after a major release, 0.5.1 is a maintenance release with some graphical touch-ups and numerous bugfixes. The server browser has received a whole heap of improvements, as has the voting system. The OSX Server launcher has been fixed, network performance has been improved further, and we fondly greet our good friend VSync back in business. As a little bonus, the in-game console now has an autocomplete feature and provides helpful hints for all console commands and settings. Download Teeworlds 0.5.1!

Ding! Break even!
We are very happy to announce that as of today, Teeworlds has officially broken even. Your generous donations have helped pay for the server that feeds the web site, the trac database and svn repositories, without which Teeworlds simply wouldn't have been possible. So far, we haven't settled on what our next purchase will be, but candidates include dedicated servers, a redundant server and hosting solution, or licenses for OS:es currently not in possession by the dev team.While we're at it, we can also mention that we've reached another milestone of sorts: During peak hours (around 20:00 CET) Teeworlds now regularly surpasses a thousand simultaneous players. Not bad!
